An immediate 12-week travel contract opening is available for an experienced, dual-modality CT / X-Ray Technologist in Willimantic, Connecticut. Operating within the acute diagnostic imaging and CAT scan department at an established community hospital, this high-compensating allied healthcare position features a 40-hour weekly schedule (variable 8- to 12-hour shifts, primarily first shift / daytime hours). NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! HIGH-PAYING NEW ENGLAND ALLIED PACKAGE! The technologist will perform diagnostic computed tomography along with general diagnostic radiography. 📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly; variable shift lengths (8–12 hours), primarily scheduled on first shift (daytime).
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- Assignment Duration: 12 Weeks (October 19, 2026 – January 16, 2027).
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend rotation (evening coverage, 16:00 PM – 24:00 AM / 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM).

- Department Setting: Acute Care Hospital Diagnostic Imaging / CAT Scan Department.
- Clinical Scope & Modalities:
- Performing routine and emergency CT examinations: stroke/neuro perfusion, trauma pan-scans, CTA chest/PE studies, abdominal/pelvic contrast studies, and musculoskeletal imaging.
- Diagnostic general radiography: portable and stationary chest, abdomen, orthopedic, and spine exams.
- Safe IV access, power-injector setup, and contrast media administration adhering to strict renal safety protocols.
- Adherence to ALARA principles, radiation safety guidelines, and patient shielding.
- Equipment & Systems: GE APEX CT scanner, Samsung DR / Portable X-Ray units, Epic EMR, and Sectra PACS.
