**Exciting Opportunity for a CT Tech - Acute Care Variable Shift!** **Job Description:** - Join a dynamic team as an Acute Care Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist! - Play a crucial role in patient diagnosis and treatment by performing advanced CT procedures and producing high-quality images. - Operate cutting-edge CT scanners, adjusting technical settings and scanning parameters to enhance image quality and minimize exposure. - Contribute to the health of patients in NICU, CCU, ED, and other departments, assisting medical staff and radiologists with precision and care. - Engage in routine quality inspections and maintenance of imaging equipment per organizational standards. - Document essential information to ensure accurate interpretation and reporting of exams. - Work independently in a fast-paced, complex acute care inpatient environment. - Train and support fellow team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Graduate of an accredited Radiology program or equivalent. - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: R.T.(R) & advanced registry in CT, R.T.(CT). - Current American Heart Association BLS certification. - A minimum of two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist. - Preferred: At least one year of previous CT experience in a trauma center (level I or II). **Essential Job Functions:** - Perform CT exams and procedures ensuring timely and accurate reporting. - Assist medical staff during examinations and procedures. - Complete necessary documentation for archiving and retrieval. - Engage in quality improvement initiatives as outlined in the strategic plan. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Exhibit sound judgment and maintain a professional demeanor. - Demonstrate tact and sensitivity while ensuring confidentiality. - Analyze, organize, and prioritize work effectively under pressure. - Communicate effectively with interpersonal skills and technology. **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. - Capable of extended hours of standing, walking, or sitting. - Willingness to work varied shifts and participate in call rotations. **Exposures:** - May involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, and infectious diseases. - Be prepared for emotionally challenging situations and repetitive tasks. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
