Innovien is supporting large-scale commercial facilities work across the Georgia market. We're hiring a Commercial HVAC Project Technician to join the field team on installations, replacements, retrofits, and system upgrades in occupied buildings where downtime is not an option. • Support project execution end to end: equipment surveys, scope verification, staging, installation support, deficiency identification, punch list, and closeout
  • Use BAS/BMS platforms to monitor equipment, place units in maintenance mode, verify alarms, and coordinate safe work execution
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, airflow, controls, electrical, and mechanical issues, escalating complex repairs when needed
  • Complete work orders, PM forms, inspection reports, and refrigerant logs accurately and on time

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC construction, retrofit, or equipment replacement work in occupied facilities (healthcare, education, manufacturing, hospitality, or similar)
  • Hands-on installation experience across commercial equipment: RTUs, AHUs, split systems, heat pumps, fan coils, VAVs, chillers, cooling towers, boilers
  • Ability to read work orders, equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • BAS/BMS experience (Metasys, Honeywell, Siemens, Trane, or similar)
  • Chiller, cooling tower, pump, four-pipe, or central plant exposure
  • CMMS or work order system experience
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel with overnight stays
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Nice to Have

  • Experience directing or mentoring field technicians on a project
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, journeyman license, or local union trade credentials
  • Project mobilization, asset verification, or site transition experience
  • Vendor or subcontractor coordination in active operating environments

Details

  • Direct hire, full-time hourly (non-exempt) with time-and-a-half overtime
  • Field-based across Georgia, Monday through Thursday, (FRIDAY's OFF) + occasional weekend work, if desired
  • Hotel and travel accommodations booked for you, plus a daily per diem
  • Union benefits package: health and welfare, pension after vesting
