Job Description

Day Shift Side Frame Welder for air cooler manufacturing in Claremore, OK fits up and welds structural side frame assemblies for heavy industrial heat exchangers using MIG and flux-core welding processes.

Core Responsibilities

- Welding Operations: Perform straight MIG and flux-core (FCAW) welding on structural steel side frame components.
- Fit-Up & Alignment: Fit, clamp, align, and secure metal parts to ensure square alignments and tight tolerances according to blueprints.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect completed welds visually to ensure they meet quality standards and product specifications.
- Shop Support: Operate grinders, hand tools, tape measures, and material handling equipment, including overhead cranes.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Welding Tests: Must pass visual and practical weld tests (such as horizontal, downhill, and overhead positions using MIG and flux-core).
- Experience: Generally requires 1 to 2+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, or side frame welding experience.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, technical drawings, and tape measurements.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and work in an active, industrial manufacturing environment. #ZR
