Supply Chain Technician

Join the centralized hospital supply chain team as a Supply Chain Technician supporting Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. This full-time, onsite role is scheduled from 23:00–07:30 for 40 hours per week over a 12-week contract beginning ASAP. You will help ensure hospital departments receive essential supplies and equipment through accurate receiving, distribution, restocking, inventory rotation, and tracking. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Process and distribute supplies and equipment to hospital departments.
• Receive materials, equipment, and supplies delivered to the receiving area.
• Inspect bills of lading and visually inspect incoming shipments.
• Restock and rotate supplies while maintaining established par levels.
• Perform cycle counts and support inventory processes.
• Process and deliver special supply requests.
• Use manual tracking processes, barcode scanning systems, and the hospital inventory management system.
• Decontaminate reusable medical supplies and equipment and maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in supply chain operations.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management.
• Experience in shipping and receiving.
• Experience performing cycle counts.
• Experience with shipment inspection.
• Strong attention to detail.
