CNC Technician

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent manufacturer in the Upstate South Carolina area, is seeking an experienced CNC Technician/CNC Machinist to join their team! This is a great opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience looking to utilize their skills in a high-volume manufacturing environment. CNC Technician Job Summary:

• Pay: DOE
• Shifts Available:
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Overtime: 8–16 hours per week.
• Weekend coverage is currently required.
• Operate and set up CNC mills and lathes in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Work with Fanuc-controlled machining centers.
• Perform machine setups, tool changes, and offset adjustments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary equipment adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Monitor production processes to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

CNC Technician Qualifications:

• Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• CNC mill and lathe operation experience.
• Fanuc controls experience strongly preferred.
• Previous CNC setup experience, including offsets, tool changes, and adjustments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Understanding of GD&T and production quality standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience machining aluminum components is preferred.
• Automotive or high-volume precision manufacturing experience is preferred.
