Executive Assistant – Non-Profit Organization
Bronx, NY | Temp-to-Perm | $60,000 Permanent Salary
Be the Right Hand to a Senior Executive!
A well-established non-profit organization in the Bronx is looking for a warm, polished, and highly organized Executive Assistant to support the Executive Vice President of Supportive Housing. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the person who keeps things running smoothly and takes pride in being a true partner to the executive they support.
The ideal candidate will be professional and welcoming, with the ability to interact comfortably with everyone from residents and visitors to senior executives. You’ll need to have a friendly, engaging personality while also knowing when to step back, maintain confidentiality, and let the EVP take the lead.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the EVP’s busy calendar, scheduling and coordinating meetings
- Arrange and coordinate domestic and occasional business travel
- Prepare and type correspondence, memos, reports, and other documents
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel
- Prepare meeting materials and assist with presentations and documentation
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks and keep the EVP organized and on track
- Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for residents, staff, visitors, and executives
- Follow up on action items and help ensure important deadlines and commitments are met
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment when handling sensitive information
- Provide general administrative support and step in wherever needed
What We're Looking For:
- Prior Executive Assistant or high-level administrative experience
- Excellent Word and Excel skills
- Strong calendar management and organizational abilities
- Experience coordinating travel and preparing professional documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Warm, approachable, and professional personality
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Ability to anticipate needs while also understanding professional boundaries
- Comfortable interacting with people at all levels of an organization
- Non-profit or human services experience is a plus
