Special Education Teacher in Winona, TX

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher with experience supporting middle school students in a resource setting. This is a contract position, offering consistent hours each week and the chance to make a real difference for students in an onsite environment. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team, drawing on your knowledge to provide supportive and effective instruction.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Texas Special Education Teacher License required
• Experience working in a middle school resource classroom preferred
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse student needs and learning styles
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to middle school students with a variety of learning needs
• Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Monitor student progress, communicate with parents, and participate in meetings as needed
• Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district and state regulations
• Foster an environment of encouragement, respect, and high expectations for all students
