Carpenter Lead / Crew Foreman

About this role

Lead hands-on carpentry and concrete formwork at DFW Airport as a safety-focused foreman. You will run mixed crews of carpenters and laborers, manage daily and weekly goals, read and set layout from drawings, and build and strip engineered and job-built forms. This role requires precision, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to plan changes on short notice. Be prepared to use an iPad for plans and reporting, follow site safety rules, and obtain airport access when required.

What you'll do

• Lead and organize mixed crews of carpenters and laborers to meet daily and weekly targets
• Read and interpret drawings, formwork plans, and layout details; perform accurate site layout
• Build, adjust and strip engineered and job-built concrete forms; check form alignment and dimensions
• Convert decimal-foot dimensions to feet and inches and verify measurements in the field
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and enforce jobsite safety and quality standards
• Communicate plan changes early, report progress, and mentor crew members on technique and safety

What we're looking for

• Hands-on carpentry experience with concrete formwork on commercial projects
• Proven crew leadership or foreman experience directing mixed crews
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and formwork/shop details
• Comfortable using an iPad for plans, reporting, and communication
• OSHA 10 certification required
• Able to obtain required airport access and clearances (SIDA badge) - airport access may be required

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 card
• Able to obtain SIDA badge and required airport clearances
• Strong blueprint/technical drawing skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication a plus
