Job Description
We are seeking an Account Representative with a strong background in machining, fabrication, or manufacturing to support customer relationships and help identify, develop, and quote custom parts and manufacturing solutions.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing position ideal for an experienced machinist, CNC professional, fabrication specialist, or retired machinist who is comfortable visiting customer sites, understanding technical requirements, reverse-engineering parts, and working closely with a machine/fabrication shop.
Key ResponsibilitiesVisit customer sites several times per week to understand customer needs and identify new opportunities.
Inspect parts and requirements and assist with reverse engineering, measurements, and technical sketches.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and part dimensions.
Use or understand AutoCAD, Mastercam, or similar software.
Determine whether a project should be handled through machining or fabrication.
Calculate material requirements and prepare material lists based on drawings and dimensions.
Prepare basic quotes and customer documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and follow-up.
Address customer questions and complaints professionally and work toward appropriate resolutions.
Operate shop equipment such as saws, grinders, sanders, hoists, and related equipment when needed.
Safely operate a forklift as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company and customer safety procedures and participate in required safety training.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
High school diploma or GED required.
Hands-on experience in machining, CNC, fabrication, manufacturing, or a related field.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to inspect, measure, sketch, and reverse-engineer mechanical parts.
Ability to understand material requirements and manufacturing processes.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Comfortable traveling to customer locations on a regular basis.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to obtain/maintain required authorization.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime or on-call assignments.
Must meet applicable background check and drug-screen requirements.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and handle materials.
Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. with assistance when required.
Ability to work safely around machinery, cutting equipment, electrical systems, vibration, and other manufacturing hazards.
The position involves working in a machine shop/manufacturing environment as well as visiting customer facilities. The environment may include loud machinery, moving equipment, cutting tools, electrical hazards, vibration, and other industrial conditions. Appropriate PPE, safety procedures, and training will be provided.
Compensation & ScheduleFull-time or part-time opportunity
