Job Description
We are looking for a Paralegal to provide legal support for a long-term contract assignment in San Diego, California. In this role, you will partner with legal counsel and cross-functional teams to help manage litigation activity, compliance work, and contract-related tasks for a global manufacturing organization. This position offers potential hybrid flexibility and is intended to provide coverage during an extended leave while maintaining continuity across legal operations.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with attorneys, outside counsel, and internal teams to move litigation matters forward efficiently and keep stakeholders aligned on next steps.
• Administer legal hold processes, help coordinate witness discussions, support deposition readiness, and assist with subpoena-related activities.
• Gather, organize, and track records and case materials needed for disputes, investigations, and other legal proceedings.
• Contribute to compliance-focused assignments and assist with broader legal department projects as business needs arise.
• Review, revise, and prepare supplier agreements and internal legal documents to support day-to-day operations.
• Communicate with business partners, vendors, and legal representatives to maintain momentum on active matters and ensure timely follow-through.
• Help maintain accurate matter documentation and use legal technology tools to support reporting, case tracking, and document management.
• Work closely with the existing team during transition and onboarding to ensure seamless coverage throughout the contract period.
• Prior experience in a litigation paralegal capacity is required.• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple legal matters while staying organized and attentive to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across legal and business teams.
• Experience reviewing or drafting contracts is preferred.
• Experience supporting a corporate legal department is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with tools such as iManage, TeamConnect, or Relativity is preferred.
• Ability to manage confidential information professionally and handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening requirements is required.
