Early Childhood Certified School Social Worker - Lansing, MI

This is a full-time, contract position working 32.5 hours per week, covering a leave from early November through early 2027. You’ll engage with early childhood and kindergarten students, offering your expertise to foster an inclusive, nurturing atmosphere that supports both educational and social-emotional growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold current Michigan School Social Worker Certification
• Possess a valid Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW)
• Experience in school-based social work or similar childhood-focused settings preferred
• Skilled at conducting evaluations and writing reports
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Passion for supporting early learners and their families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support early childhood and kindergarten students through social-emotional and behavioral interventions
• Conduct assessments and assist with evaluations to inform student services
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective supports and strategies
• Maintain detailed documentation and comply with state, district, and program guidelines
• Advocate for student needs and connect families to community resources
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, solution-focused school culture

In this role, eligible candidates will receive a competitive hourly rate between $42 and $48. In addition, qualified applicants may benefit from healthcare options, as well as housing and meals/incidentals for those relocating.
