Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to lead and drive all environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, developing and executing safety programs, fostering a strong safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
-Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
-Establish safety objectives and strategies aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
-Conduct facility safety assessments, audits, and inspections to identify risks and drive corrective actions.
-Lead accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis, reporting, and implementation of preventive measures.
-Develop and administer employee safety training programs across all levels of the organization.
-Deliver presentations and facilitate training sessions for large groups.
-Prepare and submit internal and external safety reports in a timely and accurate manner.
-Develop annual health and safety goals, metrics, and performance improvement initiatives.
-Manage safety recognition and reward programs to promote employee engagement and accountability.
-Support the organization in regulatory inspections, audits, and safety-related hearings.
-Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
-Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
-Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
-Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
-Minimum of 8 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment.
-Strong working knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal and state safety regulations.
-Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
-Experience conducting incident investigations, safety training, regulatory compliance activities, and risk assessments.
-Automotive manufacturing experience and familiarity with IATF 16949 standards is highly preferred.
