Job Title

Travel RN – Telemetry / Cardiac Overflow

Location

Hickory, NC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient ratio, serving a generalized cardiac population ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Monitor and manage patients with common diagnoses including chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre- and post-care for cardiac catheterizations (groin and radial) and VATS
• Operate unit equipment including Life Paks, Zoll, and Masimo monitoring devices
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system
• May occasionally be required to float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in North Carolina
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry or Cardiac RN experience
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Proficiency with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system strongly preferred
• Background in cardiac catheterization pre- and post-procedural care
• Experience with VATS patient management
