Assembler: Rock Falls, Illinois
Our customer in Rock Falls, Illinois is looking for dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join their manufacturing team as Assemblers. This is a full-time 1st shift opportunity working a four-day workweek with the potential for overtime on Fridays. In this role, you will assemble fabricated metal components, inspect finished products, and help ensure quality standards are met while maintaining a safe work environment.
 
Responsibilities of the Assembler:
  • Assemble metal tank components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to complete assemblies accurately.
  • Verify proper fit, alignment, and placement of parts and hardware.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process and prior to shipment.
  • Identify product defects, missing components, or assembly issues and make corrections when needed.
  • Maintain accurate production and job documentation.
  • Safely move materials and finished products using pallet jacks and other approved equipment.
  • Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
  • Communicate production concerns or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist with other production and finishing duties as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives.
 
Assembler Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of manufacturing, assembly, or related production experience.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or assembly instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
 
Pay for Assembler: Starting at $20/hour.
