Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced clinical professional to join our busy private surgical practice. This position is ideal for an LPN, RN, or highly experienced Medical Assistant with surgical, procedural, or operating room experience. The successful candidate will serve as a clinical resource for patients concerns, triaging clinical calls, providing procedure education, and supporting physicians in a fast-paced specialty environment.


Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Greet and room patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and reason for visit
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Prepare patients for exams, treatments, and minor procedures
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain exam rooms and medical instruments

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain and update patient records and charts
  • Verify patient information and ensure documentation accuracy
  • Coordinate patient flow and assist with scheduling as needed
  • Support communication between patients, providers, and staff
  • Handle general office tasks to support efficient clinic operations
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a surgical, specialty, or procedural practice
  • Ability to independently assess patient concerns and determine appropriate next steps
  • Excellent telephone triage and patient communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and judgment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and office practices
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Patient-focused mindset with a high level of professionalism and compassion
