CNC Lathe Operator – 2nd Shift
Pay: Starting at $28.00/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM Overtime: Some overtime may be required Training: Approximately 2 weeks on 1st shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This position will primarily operate Haas CNC lathes to produce quality precision components in a manufacturing environment.
This is an operator-level position. The primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading material, operating the machine, monitoring production, and performing basic quality inspections. CNC programming experience is not required.
The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, with previous CNC lathe operation experience preferred. Experience working with aluminum and other metals is a plus. Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
· Operate Haas CNC lathe machines according to established procedures and work instructions
· Load and unload raw material and finished parts
· Monitor machine operation and production cycles
· Perform basic in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
· Verify parts meet quality and dimensional requirements
· Make basic machine adjustments as needed
· Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Work with aluminum and various other metals
· Identify and report machine, tooling, or quality issues
· Meet established production and quality standards
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members
Qualifications
· 2–5 years of manufacturing experience
· Previous CNC machine operation experience preferred
· CNC lathe experience preferred
· Experience operating Haas CNC equipment is a plus
· Aerospace manufacturing experience highly preferred
· Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, work instructions, and production drawings
· Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and basic inspection tools
· Experience working with aluminum and other metals
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
