Wire Harness Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Wire Harness Technician to support the assembly and integration of complex electrical harnesses and cable assemblies for advanced electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and terminating wire harnesses, working with MIL-SPEC connectors and cables, and applying EMI shielding and grounding techniques. This position is well-suited for individuals with aerospace, defense, military, telecommunications, or other high-reliability manufacturing experience.

Location: Atlanta, GA 30341
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexible)
Duration: 1-2 Month Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, route, and terminate wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions.

  • Install and terminate MIL-SPEC connectors, backshells, and associated hardware.

  • Assemble and route multi-bundle wire harnesses while maintaining proper wire management and labeling.

  • Apply EMI shielding, grounding, and bonding techniques to ensure electrical system integrity.

  • Perform wire stripping, crimping, soldering, splicing, and connector assembly.

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings.

  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.

  • Troubleshoot and repair wiring and harness assemblies as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience assembling wire harnesses, cable assemblies, or electromechanical systems.

  • Hands-on experience with MIL-SPEC connectors and cabling.

  • Experience working with multi-bundle harnesses.

  • Knowledge of EMI shielding, grounding, and bonding techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.

  • Proficiency using crimping, soldering, and wire termination tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Aerospace, defense, military, telecommunications, or high-reliability manufacturing experience.

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or equivalent wiring and harness assembly training.
