This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters. **Job Location:** Nebraska City, NE **Job Type:** Full Time **Shift(s) Available:** 2nd & 3rd **Compensation:** $20.90 - $22.40/hr **Benefits Information** + Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance + Health and Wellness Incentives + Paid Vacation and Holidays + 401(k) with Cargill matching contributions + Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) + Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance + Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + Tuition Reimbursement + Employee Discounts **Principal Accountabilities** + Perform labor‑intensive sanitation and housekeeping processes using specialized sanitation equipment in accordance with established sanitation schedules, safety procedures, and food safety regulations, working with minimal oversight + Adhere to safe work practices, applicable government regulations, and company guidelines to maintain sanitary conditions, ensure product quality, and ensure all lockout and tagout procedures are followed + Perform basic maintenance and facilities‑support tasks inside and outside the facility, including shoveling snow and salt, painting handrails and pipes, and ordering supplies as needed + Ensure and support completion of scheduled inspections of sanitation‑related equipment, including steam and tempered water hoses + Ensure all required production and sanitation paperwork is completed accurately and on time + Safely contain and proactively address potential issues related to the storage, handling, and usage of cleaning chemicals, including proper use of required PPE and operation of specialized sanitation equipment + Perform detailed sanitation activities including scraping, shoveling, sweeping, soaping, spraying, power washing, sanitizing, scrubbing, lifting, carrying, pushing containers, and disassembling and reassembling equipment + Remove and properly dispose of waste debris such as trash, paper, insulation, and chemical waste drums in accordance with established procedures + Provide support and informal guidance to other sanitation team members as needed + Provide back-up for Sanitation Lead as needed, fulfilling all Lead job duties as required + Perform other sanitation or facilities‑related duties as assigned **Required Qualifications** + Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship + Must be 18 years or older **Preferred Qualifications** + Recent experience performing sanitation duties at a Cargill facility **Please note that this position does not include relocation reimbursement.** Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet To apply using chat/text, please click Apply Now button OR use this link (https://career2.successfactors.eu/sfcareer/jobreqcareer?jobId=335059&company=cargill&locale=en\_US) to create a login to apply.
