Customer Success Manager

NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a growing logistics organization to identify a Customer Success Manager. This role will own the day-to-day execution of freight operations while ensuring new and existing clients receive a high level of service. The ideal candidate brings hands-on freight or brokerage experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively coordinate across carriers, clients, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily freight execution from booking and carrier coverage through tracking, delivery, and billing handoff
• Lead operational onboarding for new clients, establish workflows, and ensure a smooth transition through initial shipments
• Coordinate across carriers, warehouse operations, shipping, billing, sales, and clients to resolve issues and maintain service levels
• Identify process improvements, maintain operational procedures and SOPs, and proactively address potential service challenges
• Support team development through new hire training, systems education, operational coaching, and ongoing knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Experience in freight, logistics, transportation, or brokerage operations
• Hands-on experience booking, covering, tracking, and managing freight through delivery
• Strong understanding of carrier management, load margins, and day-to-day freight operations
• Proven ability to manage client relationships, resolve escalations, and coordinate across multiple teams
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong communication, problem-solving, and follow-through
