Senior Living Counselor
Location: Wilton, CT
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
The Senior Living Counselor is responsible for helping prospective residents and their families explore senior living options and determine the community and services that best meet their needs. This position combines sales, relationship building, customer service, and knowledge of senior living services.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with prospective residents and their families to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations.
- Conduct tours of the senior living community and explain available services, amenities, accommodations, and programs.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with prospective residents, families, referral sources, and community partners.
- Respond promptly to inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Follow up with prospective residents throughout the decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, tours, follow-ups, and referrals.
- Participate in community events, outreach programs, and marketing activities.
- Work closely with the community's sales, marketing, care, and administrative teams.
- Provide compassionate and professional service while helping families navigate the transition to senior living.
- Meet established occupancy and sales goals while maintaining a resident-focused approach.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, sales, customer service, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to build trust and establish relationships with seniors and their families.
- Professional, compassionate, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency with basic computer and customer relationship management (CRM) systems preferred.
