Customer Service Representative

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in supporting Farm West Insurance Services by providing exceptional service to clients and assisting insurance agents with policy-related and administrative tasks. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and committed to delivering a positive customer experience. This position also provides an opportunity for professional growth within the insurance industry, including the opportunity to obtain a California Property & Casualty insurance license.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing professional and courteous service by phone, email, and in person.
• Support insurance agents by preparing, processing, and organizing policy documentation and endorsements.
• Assist with completing insurance applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and filing systems (both physical and digital).
• Help support and maintain the agency’s digital book of business.
• Ensure timely follow-up with clients and agents to support policy servicing needs.
• Utilize agency management systems and other technology to maintain accurate client and policy information.
• Provide general administrative support as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications and Education

• Prior experience in customer service, insurance, or an administrative support role preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with EZLynx agency management software preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant insurance, customer service, or administrative experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• California Property & Casualty insurance license preferred or willingness to obtain.
