About the Role:
Purple Hearts Health Care Services is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) to join our team in Americus, GA. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercises as directed
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
- Assist with medication reminders as permitted by care plan
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Personal Care Aide, CNA, or in-home caregiver preferred
- Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and document services accurately
- High school diploma or GED preferred
