Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's healthcare facility in Marion, OH. This is a 13 weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
 
Job Details: 
Schedule:  Monday–Friday Variable day-shift hours + Rotational weekends: approximately 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Location: Marion, OH 43302
Job Type: Local contract 
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Pay Range: $17-19/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  
 
Duties: 

• Perform blood draws and collect high-quality specimens safely and accurately.
• Perform venipuncture with patients across different age groups, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Prepare and process specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain collection procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Verify patient information and maintain confidentiality and accuracy of records.
• Maintain required patient and specimen documentation.
• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties as applicable.
• Complete daily responsibilities accurately and within established timelines.

Requirements: 

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Years of experience: Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
