Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-Ray Technologist for a day shift role requiring ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certification.
Details
- Diagnostic imaging department performing X-ray, fluoroscopy with C-arm, and OR imaging procedures
- CT and general radiology modalities
- Day shift schedule
- May be required to assist in other modalities, adjust schedules, or take call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed
Requirements
- Active state license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(CT) certification required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS systems preferred
- Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist preferred
- Cross-training in other modalities such as CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography preferred
Additional Information
- Perform radiographic and CT exams following department protocols and radiologist orders
- Verify exam orders, confirm patient identity, and provide patient education on procedures
- Practice radiation safety in accordance with ALARA standards
- Review patient medical history, obtain informed consent, and ensure prior studies are available before radiologist interpretation
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR, including charging for procedures and supplies
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers as needed
- Assist with training or cross-training of imaging staff as directed
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to infection control and safety procedures
- Follow facility dress code and attire policies
