Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a growing residential development organization in Miami, Florida. This position will oversee core accounting activities across the full financial cycle while helping maintain accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge along with hands-on exposure to tax matters and audit support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including transaction review, posting activity, and preparation of accurate financial records.
• Lead month-end close activities by coordinating journal entries, reviewing balances, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Maintain the general ledger and monitor account activity to support reliable financial reporting.
• Perform detailed account and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Prepare and record journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation and adherence to accounting standards.
• Assist with tax-related processes by organizing financial data, supporting filings, and collaborating with external advisors as needed.
• Contribute to audit readiness by gathering schedules, responding to requests, and supporting both internal and external audit activities.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior-level accounting role with responsibility for full-cycle accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and financial reconciliations.
• Proven ability to prepare and review journal entries with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience supporting tax processes and audit engagements.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
