Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support member services for a respected non-profit organization in Columbus, Ohio. This Contract position focuses on delivering responsive assistance over the phone, maintaining accurate member records, and helping individuals resolve account and payment-related questions. The ideal candidate brings strong call center experience, attention to detail, and a detail-oriented approach to every interaction.

Responsibilities:
• Handle a high volume of incoming calls from members, providing courteous and efficient support for account-related inquiries.
• Update member profiles and documentation in the database to ensure records remain complete and accurate.
• Reach out to members when needed to confirm details, gather missing information, or assist with account follow-up.
• Request and record updated payment information in a secure and detail-oriented manner to support membership dues processing.
• Guide members through online dues payment questions and troubleshoot common issues related to account access or transactions.
• Enter service details, changes, and interactions promptly into internal systems for accurate tracking and reporting.
• Deliver clear information about membership services, policies, and next steps while maintaining a high standard of customer care.• At least 3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or high-volume phone support environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inbound calls while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Experience with data entry and record maintenance in a customer or membership database.
• Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound communication with members or customers.
• Background in order entry, account updates, or similar transactional support activities.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly to a wide range of callers.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive payment information responsibly.
