Wireman Journeyman
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Wireman Journeyman to join the daily operations of our customer in Beaumont, TX. The ideal candidate will integrate switchgears, control panels, and cabinets; connect wires to circuit breakers, relays, and transformers. and maintaining a productive work environment. Additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs.
Pay Rate
$23.00-$32.00 depending on experience
Schedule and Hours
Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:30pm Some overtime as required.
Wireman Journeyman Duties and Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets electrical schematics, wiring diagrams engineered for each respective project.
- Perform continuity, functional, and safety tests on assembled components to ensure proper operation.
- Install and maintain internal electrical wiring and components within the manufactured equipment.
- Adhere to all company, local, and national electrical codes to ensure safety and quality standards.
Wireman Journeyman Requirements and Qualifications
- Can read a tape measure to the nearest 1/16.
- Operate corded and cordless power tools and has extensive working knowledge of using specialty tools (ferrule crimpers, insulated lug crimpers, wire strippers, etc.)
- Already a highly skilled wireman who is self-directed and ensures projects are wired/integrated in accordance with engineered specifications and TXLA quality standards is a plus.
- CPR trained, attend ESWP training when available, attend NFPA 70E training when available, and are familiar with current National Electric Code.
- 3-5 yrs experience preferred.
- Able to lift 25-50 lbs . (Test administered in office)
- Ability to work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours a day up to 12hrs a day.
