Immunizing Retail Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Marlinton, West Virginia

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity offers a pivotal role in a retail pharmacy setting located in Marlinton, WV, with a schedule designed for work-life balance: 2 days per week, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break. This contract position involves leadership and hands-on responsibilities crucial to pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists to ensure efficient workflow
• Verify, dispense, and guarantee the safe and accurate distribution of medications
• Manage retail pharmacy inventory, including medication stock and formulary maintenance
• Ensure compliance with controlled substance handling and documentation
• Administer and oversee the 340B program for adherence and compliance
• Handle pharmacy billing processes, claims submission, and reconciliation
• Utilize and maintain accuracy within EHR and pharmacy systems; training provided
• Support operational workflow and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Administer immunizations to support community health

Qualifications:

• Active and clear West Virginia pharmacy license required
• Experience with Pioneer pharmacy systems is preferred
• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred but not mandatory
• Current CPR certification and active Immunization certification mandatory
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills essential for patient and team interactions
