We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a busy healthcare setting in New York. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, managing schedules, and keeping administrative workflows organized. The person in this role will serve as a welcoming first point of contact while coordinating appointments and assisting with essential office tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients upon arrival, guide them through the check-in process, and help create a positive office experience.
• Coordinate appointment calendars by scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and canceling patient visits as needed.
• Manage front-desk communications by answering calls, responding to routine questions, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain accurate patient information in office records and update documentation during registration and follow-up interactions.
• Support daily administrative functions such as preparing paperwork, handling general reception tasks, and organizing front office materials.
• Assist patients with basic forms, office procedures, and visit-related information using clear and courteous communication.
• Work closely with clinical and administrative team members to keep patient flow efficient throughout the day.• Prior experience in a medical reception, medical front office, or similar patient-facing administrative role.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule patient appointments accurately and manage a busy calendar.
• Familiarity with patient check-in procedures and standard front-desk responsibilities in a healthcare environment.
• Working knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a detail-oriented and empathetic approach.
• Ability to stay organized, handle multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with standard office systems and general administrative recordkeeping.
