Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed acute care Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 RN/LPN patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients presenting with conditions including CHF, COPD, ESRD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, AMS, and sepsis
• Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation and patient management
• Perform telemetry monitoring as required by unit needs
• Collaborate with in-house hospitalists (available 24/7) and respiratory therapy team to coordinate patient care
• Float to other units occasionally as needed; every other weekend and holidays required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Georgia
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on the candidate's driver's license) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Prior telemetry experience
• Charge nurse experience a plus
