Production opportunities available on 2nd and 3rd shift.\n
\n
Average wages $23-$30 per hour.\n
\n
Consistent schedule and guaranteed 40 hours with opportunity for overtime.\n
\n
Responsibilities\n
\n
\nOperates, tends, and maintains machines to make lead acid batteries. \n
\n
\nReads specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. \n
\n
\nFollows sequences for operational procedures on a computer. \n
\n
\nSets stops or guides to specified length as indicated. \n
\n
\nAutomatically or manually loads material into machine. \n
\n
\nObserves machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions. \n
\n
\nMay measure work piece dimensions, thickness and weight in order to determine the accuracy of machine operation. \n
\n
\nMay perform minor machine maintenance, including cleaning and oiling. \n
\n
\nMay assist in setting up machine, and stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finish work pieces using an electric pallet jack, hoist or forklift. \n
\n
\n Relieves other operators at shift change time and breaks. \n
\n
\nResponsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, safety practices and overall quality of work produced. \n
\n
\nPerforms other duties as requested by Management.\n
\n
Qualifications\n
\n
\nGood math skill including familiarity with metric system\n
\n
\nAbility to use basic hand tools\n
\n
\nAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot machinery\n
\n
\nAbility to take and read measurements\n
\n

\nMust be able to read and interpret 1st piece inspection/set-up sheets\n
