One Shot Automation LLC is looking for a talented and driven Project Engineer – Ignition/SCADA Programmer to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Ignition/SCADA applications for industrial automation projects
• Program and configure HMI screens, historian, alarming, and reporting modules within the Ignition platform
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions
• Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, databases, and third-party devices using OPC-UA, Modbus, and other communication protocols
• Perform system commissioning, on-site startup, and troubleshooting of SCADA and control systems
• Develop and maintain project documentation including functional specs, network diagrams, and I/O lists
• Provide ongoing technical support and system improvements for existing client installations

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) is a strong plus
• Experience with industrial communication protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP
• Ignition Core Certification (or ability to obtain) preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset
• Willingness to travel to client sites for commissioning and support as needed
