Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (3:00 AM – 3:00 PM) | Expected 72 hours bi-weekly | No on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Support post-surgical patient recovery and optimization in alignment with surgeon preferences and established order sets and protocols
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with an established care team to deliver high-quality outcomes in a 37-bed unit
• Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic medical records system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Indiana
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Background in post-surgical or orthopedic patient care
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a high-volume inpatient setting
