About the Family

A warm and loving family is seeking a long-term, career nanny who is excited to grow with them and their four-year-old son. The parents prioritize nurturing the whole child, with a strong emphasis on emotional awareness, communication, and independence. They are looking for someone who embraces their parenting philosophy, brings an empathetic and flexible approach to childcare, and communicates openly and honestly.

The ideal candidate takes genuine pride in the home, shows initiative, and becomes a trusted extension of the family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency and confidence in caring for children from infancy onward, with a solid understanding of developmental stages
  • Assist in maintaining the orderliness of the child’s bedroom and play areas
  • Prepare light meals for the child (whole foods, plant-based)
  • Show genuine care and patience in responding to the child’s needs and emotions
  • Create a positive, stimulating environment through play and interactive activities, including unstructured creative outdoor play
  • Handle the child’s laundry (washing, putting away, and organizing)
  • Organize and prepare items for school and other activities, identifying what is needed
  • Support the child’s development through fun, encouraging coaching (e.g., practicing letters, counting)
  • Maintain a structured routine while remaining adaptable to the family’s evolving needs
  • Work collaboratively with the parents to foster a supportive, cooperative environment
  • Be comfortable around the family’s 11-year-old French bulldog

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional childcare experience, including infants

  • Non-smoker with strict adherence to a smoke-free environment
  • Comfortable with a device-free home
  • Understand and support a clean, healthy lifestyle
  • Valid driver’s license
