Drive the Day: Class A Local Materials Transport

Roll out at 5:30 AM, finish early afternoon, and sleep in your own bed nightly. As a temporary full-time Class A professional, you’ll run local and near-regional day routes (no OTR) moving the building blocks that keep the community growing.

Compensation & Schedule
  • Pay: $32.00–$34.00 per hour DOE
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime
  • Start: 5:30 AM
  • Typical Finish: 1:30–2:00 PM
  • Home Time: Home every day
What You’ll Operate
  • Class A tractor with 53' flatbed
  • Class A tractor with 53' dry van
  • 26' straight truck for select local drops
What You’ll Haul
  • Manufactured pallets
  • Lumber and other building materials
Your Day-to-Day
  • Execute safe, efficient pickup and delivery across local and near-regional customer routes.
  • Verify, secure, and protect every load; complete thorough pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation with zero shortcuts.
  • Operate within all DOT/FMCSA and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with dispatch on ETAs, site constraints, equipment needs, or delays.
  • Represent the company with professional communication and customer care.
  • Keep assigned equipment clean and in good working order.
Required Background
  • Valid Class A CDL with proven commercial driving experience.
  • Hands-on time with 53' flatbeds and 53' dry vans.
  • Working knowledge of safe load securement.
  • Clean, safety-focused driving history.
  • Solid understanding of DOT/FMCSA rules and documentation.
  • Competent in performing and recording vehicle inspections.
  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-service minded.
  • Meets all DOT driver qualification standards.
  • Must be able to pass required DOT drug and alcohol screening.
Preferred Experience
  • Hauling pallets, lumber, and other construction supplies.
  • Flatbed operations and securement best practices.
  • Regional day-run delivery work.
  • Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement and experience pulling doubles.
