Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Warrensville Heights, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Call required on nights and weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub a variety of surgical cases including robotic, GU, GYN, and general surgery
• Maintain accurate surgical counts and properly handle and document specimens
• Take call shifts on nights and weekends as required
• Function as a collaborative team member within the OR environment
• Complete required facility assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate during orientation with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent OR experience prior to travel, with scrubbing and circulating proficiency
• Active and unrestricted Ohio RN license or valid compact license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the OR specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references not accepted)
• Background check reviewed by facility; open cases or any license hits are not accepted
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple OR subspecialties including robotic-assisted surgery, GU, and GYN procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience in an OR setting
• Familiarity with surgical count protocols and specimen handling best practices
