Chesterfield, MI | $80,000 Base + Performance Bonus | $120K Total Comp Potential

You know heavy equipment. You know how a shop runs. Now run the branch.

We’re looking for a Branch Manager who can get out from behind the desk and talk shop.

This is a leadership role in a busy heavy equipment operation. You’ll work directly with the service, parts, sales and rental teams, stay connected to what’s happening on the shop floor, work with customers and make sure the branch is getting the job done.

You don’t have to be the guy turning every wrench — but you need to understand what the guys in the shop are talking about.

If a tech tells you a machine has a hydraulic issue, a parts order is holding up a repair, or a customer has equipment sitting down, you should be able to have a real conversation about it and help get things moving.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Run the day-to-day operation of the branch
• Lead and support service, parts, sales and rental
• Stay involved with shop workflow, equipment repairs and customer needs
• Manage, coach and hold branch personnel accountable
• Work with technicians and service personnel to keep jobs moving
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Help resolve service, parts and equipment issues before they become bigger problems
• Monitor branch sales, service, expenses, inventory and profitability
• Drive branch performance and help grow the business
• Hire, train and develop employees

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with real-world experience around heavy equipment, diesel, construction equipment, parts, service or a similar environment.

You could be coming from a:

• Branch Manager role
• Service Manager / Shop Manager position
• Parts & Service Manager role
• Equipment dealership or rental operation
• Foreman or working supervisor position
• Lead Technician role who has moved into management

The title on your resume matters less than whether you understand the business and know how to lead people.

Compensation & Benefits

$80,000 base salary + performance-based bonus

The bonus is based on branch performance, with total compensation reaching approximately $120,000.

The Bottom Line

You should be comfortable walking into the shop, talking with a mechanic about a machine, working with parts to get what’s needed, dealing with a customer who's down, and then sitting down with the numbers to make sure the branch is performing.
