Job Description
Support the success of students in grades 5 through 8 with this rewarding contract paraprofessional opportunity for the upcoming school year. As a crucial member of the educational team, you will work closely with teachers and specialists to provide individualized attention and guidance that makes a real impact in the classroom.
This full-time assignment runs from August 2026 to June 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 32 to 37.5 hours per week. Based near Concord, NH, your support will help promote academic growth, inclusion, and a positive learning environment for middle school students.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience working with students or as a paraprofessional in a school setting strongly preferred
- Compassion, patience, and the ability to foster connections with children and adolescents
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and students
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new tools
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to 5th-8th grade students under teacher supervision
- Assist with daily routines, instructional activities, and behavioral support
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) when applicable
- Encourage student engagement and participation in both academic and social settings
- Document student progress and share observations with the educational team
