School Psychologist in Houston, TX

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
• Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
• Experience with psychoeducational assessments and eligibility determination
• Expertise in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and consultation skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
• Ability to provide counseling and recommend evidence-based interventions
• Experience navigating multi-disciplinary teams and crisis intervention a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for students, teams, and families
• Participate in eligibility meetings, developing recommendations for appropriate supports or services
• Collaborate with educators, counselors, and administration to enhance learning environments
• Design and monitor interventions for academic, behavioral, and socio-emotional support
• Facilitate small group and individual counseling sessions as needed
• Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ mental health and educational success
• Maintain confidential, accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
