We’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join a chef-driven restaurant in Philadelphia. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on culinary leader who enjoys working in a high-volume environment, developing a strong team, and maintaining high standards for food quality and execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations
• Lead, train, coach, and develop the BOH team
• Work hands-on during service while maintaining strong food quality and execution
• Ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and timing
• Assist with ordering, inventory, food cost, and labor management
• Maintain kitchen systems, recipes, and operational standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
• Help create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented kitchen culture
• Step into the leadership role when the Executive Chef is not on property

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of Sous Chef or similar culinary leadership experience
• Experience in a high-volume, upscale casual, polished casual, or chef-driven restaurant
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Hands-on approach to kitchen management
• Solid understanding of food cost, inventory, and kitchen operations
• Ability to train and develop culinary team members
• Organized, dependable, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Culinary degree is a plus, but not required
