Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or license in Texas
  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience conducting cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
  • Strong knowledge of special education evaluation processes and IEP development
  • Compassion, strong communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs
  • Develop and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff
  • Deliver crisis intervention and consult on behavioral management strategies
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with federal and state regulations
