This opportunity offers the chance to work with a dedicated team, supporting mild to moderate caseloads in a collaborative and rewarding educational setting. Situated in Siskiyou County, CA, you'll work full time (37.5 hours per week) on a contract basis, with a manageable caseload of 28 students or fewer. The primary focus is on-site engagement; however, there may be potential consideration for a virtual/VOCO format for the right candidate.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher credential for California, or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working with K-12 students with mild to moderate learning differences
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, families, and related service providers
- Comfort with individualized education program (IEP) development, implementation, and documentation
- Familiarity with both in-person and virtual support models is a plus
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instructional strategies to support student learning and growth
- Design, implement, and monitor IEPs, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and family members to ensure student success
- Document progress, adapt curriculum materials, and maintain accurate records
