2026/2027 New School Year Registered Nurse Contract Job

A school district in New Mexico is seeking 2 full-time School Registered Nurses (RNs) for the 2026–2027 school year.

Assignment Dates:
August 6, 2026 – May 27, 2027

Schedule:
37.5 hours per week (Full-Time)
Onsite only (no VOCO/virtual)

Caseload / Placement:

• District placement (specific school site TBD)

Position Overview:

• Provide school health services in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Support implementation of the school health program per New Mexico regulations
• Use the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) to support student health needs
• Identify and address health concerns impacting student learning (physical, social, and psychological)
• Advocate for student health needs and rights
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive student and family information
• Collaborate with students, families, school staff, medical providers, and community partners
• Participate in planning and evaluation of school health services

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or higher in Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing
• Active New Mexico School Nurse License issued by the State of New Mexico
