Special Education Teacher in Goodyear, AZ

Passionate special education professionals have an exciting opportunity to make a difference in students’ lives in a supportive educational setting. Two contract positions are currently open for skilled Special Education Teachers, covering resource instruction for K-3 and 4th-5th grade students. These roles begin as soon as possible and run through May 20, 2027, providing long-term stability and the chance to build strong, positive relationships with your students.

Work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, reaching 40 hours each week. Each teacher will manage a caseload of approximately 25-30 students, focusing on tailored instructional support within established resource classrooms.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active teaching license in Special Education
• Current IVP fingerprint clearance card required before start
• Previous classroom or resource teaching experience strongly preferred
• Ability to differentiate instruction and foster student growth
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction based on IEPs for a diverse caseload
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Monitor and document student progress; develop appropriate modifications as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development activities, and ongoing team planning
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported
