Job Description
Make a meaningful impact on student success by providing vital psychological and consultative support to schools in the Sanostee, NM area. With a contract spanning the academic year through May 2027, you’ll work onsite, collaborating with educators and families to improve students’ academic and behavioral outcomes. The position is district-wide, serving students across multiple locations and averaging 30-40 evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Current NM PED School Psychologist License required
- Master's degree or Doctorate in School Psychology or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in psychoeducational assessment, consultation, and data-driven intervention planning
- Willingness to travel between district schools as part of your regular schedule
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students with a variety of learning, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
- Share interpretation of assessment results with educational teams and families, recommending strategies to support student growth
- Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and caregivers to foster a positive and inclusive educational environment
- Support with the development of individualized educational plans (IEPs) and participate in educational planning meetings
- Serve as a valued resource in promoting mental health awareness and supporting prevention/intervention initiatives across the district
