Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification in South Carolina is required
• Experience working with students with severe disabilities preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes, goal tracking, and data documentation
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional approaches based on individual needs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working alongside educational staff, related service providers, and families
• Commitment to maintaining a structured and supportive learning space
• Willingness to assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, as needed

Position Duties:

• Deliver individualized instruction and interventions in a self-contained classroom
• Design lesson plans and modify curriculum to align with IEP goals
• Implement behavioral and functional support strategies to promote student success
• Document progress and participate actively in IEP meetings and team planning
• Foster positive classroom culture, ensuring safety and consistency for all students
• Maintain ongoing communication with families and colleagues to support holistic development
