Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist providing valuable support to elementary, middle, and high school students. This full-time position extends from now through May 28, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. Located near Conover, NC, you’ll be instrumental in helping students access the resources and guidance they need to thrive.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification and relevant state credentials
- Experience conducting re-evaluations, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments (FBAs)
- Familiarity with initial evaluations and processes for both general and special education populations
- Strong knowledge of IEP procedures and special education law
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and staff
- Ability to manage time efficiently, working independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive re-evaluations, eligibility meetings, and FBAs for students across multiple grade levels
- Participate in and facilitate initial evaluation processes for student referrals
- Compile thorough evaluation reports and actionable recommendations to support student learning
- Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and parents to inform intervention strategies
- Maintain documentation and adhere to compliance requirements
- Contribute to the positive learning environment by promoting all students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
