Job Description
Step into a dynamic role as a School Psychologist, supporting students’ growth and well-being in a collaborative and innovative school environment. Located in the greater Houston area, this contract opportunity spans across two to three schools while providing a consistent workspace at the central office. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the academic year ending in late May 2027, offering an extended experience within a supportive and experienced team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Texas licensure as a School Psychologist is required.
- Demonstrated expertise with psychoeducational assessments, special education evaluations, and consultation with educators and families.
- Comfortable adapting to a workload model, managing both assessment and service coordination, rather than focusing solely on numbers of students served.
- Previous experience working in an educational or school-based setting is highly valued.
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and organization.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining thorough documentation.
- Comfortable working primarily onsite, with the advantage of guaranteed remote work at least one day per week—and potential for additional flexibility.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services for 2-3 schools while operating from the district’s central office.
- Conduct assessments, create intervention plans, and collaborate with educators, parents, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, ensuring best practices and compliance with state and federal special education guidelines.
- Share expertise in behavioral and academic intervention, supporting whole-child development.
- Contribute to a district known for its collaborative approach and flexibility, with no counseling duties required.
This position invites you to make a difference in students’ lives while enjoying a balanced workload, collaborative environment, and remote flexibility. If you’re a licensed School Psychologist seeking to expand your impact, submit your application today and take the next step in your career.
