Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a School Psychologist in a supportive educational environment near Dearborn, MI. This full-time, on-site contract role spans the 2026–2027 school year, from August 25, 2026, to June 9, 2027. Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid School Psychologist certification (or eligibility) in Michigan
- Experience conducting psycho-educational assessments and developing data-driven interventions
- Strong understanding of special education law, eligibility, and compliance requirements
- Effective communication, consultation, and teamwork skills with diverse students, staff, and families
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments for students across elementary, middle, and high school buildings to determine educational needs and eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress and mental wellness
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
- Provide consultation and in-service training to staff regarding effective strategies and supports for diverse learners
- Contribute to eligibility meetings, IEP development, and compliance documentation
- Participate in the district’s efforts to develop a cohesive, supportive team of School Psychologists
- Deliver services with a commitment to equity and respect for all backgrounds
